Vintage tools - brace T2505  EB#154:

Up for sale is a gorgeous & early MILTON NOBLES Hand Brace, with an Iron frame & a Unique Split Chuck Mechanism.

Stamped on the frame with the patent date of December 19 1865, these weren't produced for a long period of time, from 1865 until 1877.

This is a very early Brace from the "Genesis time" of American patented Iron framed braces, patented in the 1st half of the 19th century the patent was issued on December 19, 1865.

An extremely handy tool, great for boring large diameter holes & excellent for driving screws in with a slotted tip bit, the leverage you can get with a brace is amazing.

Great for boring large diameter holes, never has a flat battery or need to run a lead out, very handy indeed.

CONDITION

This brace is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age and use, with a nice patina, note the wear to the brass quill ferrule- it's been used for a long time, some pitting, it's a gorgeous piece, an authentic & genuine example of a Nobles Iron framed brace, perfect for use in the unplugged workshop.
