Vintage tools - sharpening stone A59
Up for sale is a LARGE antique natural sharpening stone a SCOTTISH TAM-O-SHANTER water stone, often called a SNAKE STONE because of the speckled grain.
These are not commercially available anymore & are sought after for sharpening razors & for polishing silver & gold. Size: 230mm x 52mm wide x 25mm thick.
Weight - 800gm
CONDITION
This stone is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, it looks to have had light use if any, this one has the original ink stamp to the base- quite rare, some minor flea bites out of some edges, nice to have a Scottish natural stone to hone your razors on.
