DESCRIPTION
Antique tools - brace T2507 EB#52:
Up for sale is a fantastic & scarce early German style hand BRACE.
Extremely elegant in their simplicity, all iron construction with beech pads.
They do the job very well, in fact better than a lot of more complex "bells & whistles" braces.
7inch / 180mm extra small sweep, probably used where space was tight.
Covered in a deep brown oxidisation, it's a very old brace, these were first made around the 1850s, so how old this one is, could be anyone's guess.
Weight - 380g
The Preston ruler in the photos is for measurements only, not for sale.
CONDITION
The brace is in good vintage condition. Covered in dark oxidisation, it has a split / check through the crank handle, it's a very old brace, the locking bolt is not original, still works well
