Up for sale is a vintage Boxwood Lead Dressing Stick, a sharpish angled sole for making creases & folds.
Used for beating lead sheet into shapes for flashings around chimneys & pipes.
It's made out of solid Boxwood, a slow growing dense timber that is ideally suited for lead dressing sticks, virtually impossible to source these days, most new ones are plastic.
Weight - 190g
This Boxwood Dressing Stick is in authentic vintage condition, wear & tear consistent with age, some small dents on the body, still very usable, nice to have a boxwood one, it feels nice & weighty in the hand.
