Vintage tools - sharpening stone T2891 EB#56:

Up for sale is a genuine antique TURKEY STONE Natural SHARPENING STONE.

The stone is 168mm long, 48mm wide & 26mm thick, an older stone, these are not quarried anymore & the location of the original mine is lost to history. Prized through the ages for putting a superb keen edge on tools & knives, these are extremely hard to find & not commercially available anymore. Benjamin Seaton had one in his tools chest.

Great for chisels, plane blades, knives & your straight razors, its a finishing stone & it puts a superlative edge on tools, its a hard fine natural oilstone.

CONDITION

This sharpening stone is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age and use, a genuine natural Turkey stone. There are some natural fault lines in the stone as per typical Turkey stones, a chamefer to one corner, its silky smooth & a magnificent stone.
