French antique tools - adze Y577
Up for sale is an early & unusual antique FRENCH COOPERS ADZE head with a large curved blade & integrated socket & hammer poll. It looks to be a fairly early tool.
The blade is 143mm wide & measures 250mm long along the head, it’s an impressive piece.
Weight - 1.65kg
CONDITION
This adze is in authentic antique condition, a dark patina & wear and tear consistent with age and use. Some rust pitting & oxidation. A gorgeous piece & this adze was part of the Longfils tool collection & purchased in France in 2019.
