Vintage tools -  plane Y1439

Up for sale is a gorgeous & Early ANTIQUE FRENCH rustic PLOUGH PLANE, sold for display & as a collectible tool rather than a usable tool.

10 & 1/2” long with a cormier body & boxwood wedge, it’s most likely an 18th century tool.

The COLOUR & PATINA of the wood is just magnificent, a great display piece, fragile as it has some age to it & is most likely user made, it has a deeply carved comma style escapement on the side of the metal skate.

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic antique condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, the plane has many worm holes but rest assured that they are long gone, it has many cracks, chips & twists & is sold as a display piece only rather than a user. 

This plane was part of the Yves Longfils collection that we imported from France in 2019, its a beautiful & elegant early French plough plane.
