Vintage tools - T8229

Up for sale is a very fancy antique architects & engineers DRAFTING SET with GERMAN SILVER  bodied compasses & proportional dividers & blued steel lining pens with IVORY handles, in its original ROSEWOOD box, lined with dark blue VELVET.

This is a first quality set, German Silver, Ivory & Rosewood, beautiful to behold, the makers stamp is WATSON & SONS LONDON & MELBOURNE, 1897-1901 branch office at 78 Swanston St Melbourne.

There in an original 1844 letter from Lincolns Inn Fields London, England in the bottom tray of the set.

Made in a time when tools were prized for their beauty as well as their functionality, its a high quality drawing set, ready for to go to work for its new owner.

CONDITION

This drafting set is in authentic antique condition, wear & tear consistent with age & use, some light storage rust & oxidisation, the original key with the box works. A crack to the bottom of the box.
