Up for sale is an antique STANLEY USA No:48 Type 1 from 1876-1898 TONGUE & GROOVE / Match Plane, with a swinging fence.

An early model with a japanned body with ornate scrollwork to the handle & Millers patent date 7.6.1875 cast into the bottom of the frame & a Rosewood front knob.
A handy plane, it enables you to cut tongues & grooves with one plane.

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, some japanning loss, a good example of a hard to find plane.
