Vintage tools - marking gauge H917

Up for sale is a FANCY antique ROSEWOOD & BRASS MORTISE GAUGE, by the STANLEY RULE & LEVEL Co, a No:66 with a moustache shaped brass wear strip & the 1886 patented brass shoe attachment for marking around curved surfaces. Circa 1886-86, the rosewood is an absolutely beautiful deep rich colour on this marking gauge.

This marking gauge is in authentic vintage condition, wear & tear consistent with age & use, a few owners stamps, an unusual & uncommon marking gauge by Stanley.
