A HERITAGE SAWS Custom FITZROY model CARCASS SAW

This one has a striking AUSTRALIAN BEEFWOOD handle & is a 13ppi crosscut profile.

Our HERITAGE SAWS are made at Vintage Tool Shop, Northcote, MELBOURNE  completely hand shaped & fashioned.

The Heritage Saws hand STAMPED BRASS BACKS are folded as in the traditional manner in house; our HAND MADE fancy timber HANDLES are shaped with rasps & files; we use glover style reclaimed brass SAW BOLTS on our saws to help with sustainability & to reduce our carbon footprint; the saw plates are CUT BY HAND & teeth precision HAND FILED (by Heritage Saw partner @jimthesawman). The timber for this saw was sourced from @curlytimbers who has the most magnificent Australian timber.

Our dovetail saw blades are American 1075 spring steel 0.5mm thick & the brass backs are 3mm thick cartridge brass.

These are saws made in the traditional way - pre industrial revolution style.
