Vintage tools - infill plane N1032

Up for sale is a scarce antique DUPLEX DOVETAILED INFILL SHOULDER PLANE with a ROSEWOOD INFILL by MATHIESON of Scotland.

This plane has the Edinburgh stamp, so puts it to around between 1849-56, before they moved to Glasgow production.

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, both mouths are nice & tight. Missing its front blade & wedge. The mere ghost of the MATHIESON EDINBURGH stamp on the heel. it’s a lovely plane for the discerning workshop & a handy size.
