Vintage tools - infill plane T9677

Up for sale is an antique INFILL SMOOTHING PLANE with a ROSEWOOD INFILL & with a CAST IRON BODY, with a parallel cutter by W.MARPLES.

Made by LONDON PLANEMAKER HENRY SLATER CLERKENWELL, the body is also stamped M by the strike button probably for malleable iron.

Weight - 2kg

Size: a 2.25" or 56mm cutter.

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, the usual marks, dings & scratches to the body & light rust marks to the casting. The bottom edges are nice & sharp, full cutter, it’s a lovely plane for the workshop & a handy size & the rosewood is gorgeous.
