Vintage tools -  axe Y239

Up for sale is an early & unusual antique FRENCH PATTERN MINERS AXE head.

The blade is 90mm wide & measures 180mm long overall, Its a two piece head laminated & riveted construction.

Weight - 850g

CONDITION

This axe is in authentic antique condition, some pitting as to be expected with an antique miners tool, stamped 258 & IT that may relate to the particular mine that the axe was used in. This axe was part of the Longfils tool collection & purchased in France in 2019.
