Up for sale is an early & unusual antique FRENCH PATTERN MINERS AXE.

The blade is 90mm wide & measures 180mm long overall, Its a two piece head laminated & riveted construction.

Weight -   900gm

CONDITION

This axe is in authentic antique condition, a dark patina & some pitting as to be expected with an antique miners tool, a couple of rivets have lost their heads & some deformation of the eye. This axe was part of the Longfils tool collection & purchased in France in 2019.
