ITEM DESCRIPTION
Vintage tools - brace H2048:
Up for sale is a very well made vintage brace by Sheffield toolmakers J.A.CHAPMAN. A No:16 with Rosewood handles with ball bearing races at the rear pad & the crank handle, these are near frictionless when lubed up & a pleasure to use with near zero loss of power. CHAPMAN were bought out by Stanley in the late 1930s.
An extremely handy tool, great for boring holes & excellent for driving screws in with a slotted tip bit, the leverage you can get with a brace is amazing.
Never has a flat battery or need to run a lead out, very handy indeed.

Size: 5” / 125mm or 10” / 250mm sweep
