Vintage tools - chisel D1916

Up for sale is a cool set of 3 x Patternmakers  incanal Paring GOUGE CHISELS by MATHIESON of Glasgow.

Sizes:

1 x 31mm wide tip x 180mm usable blade  x 359mm Long overall

1 x 17mm wide tip x 170mm usable blade x 341mm overall long 

1 x 12mm wide tip x 160mm usable blade x 324mm overall long

Weight: 530g

CONDITION

These gouge chisels are in authentic vintage condition, wear & tear consistent with age & use, the largest gouge has some strike cracks to the end of the handle. All of the handles are gorgeous knotty boxwood. Interestingly Mr Edmond or another previous owner ground the bolster away on the back of each chisel so that he could pare right up to the ferrule on each chisel, they will require a sharpen prior to use, a handy sized set of paring gouges.
