Vintage tools -  plane Y1448

Up for sale is a gorgeous & unusual antique FRENCH Tongue & Groove PLANE that has some age to it. An absolutely superb colour & patina on this one, it looks to be made out of Cormier wood. A unique piece & incredibly well made, a very similar style to the Roman planes recovered from archeological digs.

A beautiful rich & warm patina to the wood, a great DISPLAY piece.

Size: 343m long x 57mm wide & is for working on 1” 25mm boards approximately 

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, some damage to the timber rails on the base. It's a lovely piece & part of the Yves Longfils collection that we bought back from France in 2019.
