Vintage tools -  plane Y599

Up for sale is a gorgeous & unusual antique FRENCH side rebate & rebate PLANE that is a very handy item for widening & increasing the depth in narrow rebates- the plane and blade are 7mm wide. The plane has a LYON tool retailers stamp on the side

It is made out of Cormier timber, similar to apple wood. 

A beautiful rich & warm patina to the wood, a great DISPLAY piece.

Size: 223mm long 

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use. The blade has cutting edges on the side & bottom. It's a lovely piece & part of the Yves Longfils collection that we bought back from France in 2019.
