Vintage tools -  plane Y959

Up for sale is a gorgeous & unusual antique FRENCH Twin Iron MOULDING PLANE that has some age to it. It is made out of the most beautiful & figured oak that looks like fish scales.

A beautiful rich & warm patina to the wood, a great DISPLAY piece.

Weight - 1.15kg

Size: 240mm long x 60mm wide & cuts an approximately 43mm wide moulding 

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, with a quick sharpen one can plane one’s own mouldings, some delaminating to the side escapement. One wedge has a nail holding it together- it should be glued or replaced, it's a lovely piece & part of the Yves Longfils collection that we bought back from France in 2019.
