Vintage tools - infill plane N1155

Up for sale is an antique DOVETAILED steel INFILL No:7 SMOOTHING PLANE with a ROSEWOOD INFILL by STEWART SPIERS of Ayr Scotland.

These really are the luxury yacht of the planing world, with an extra thick laminated steel cutter bedded against the timber infill, they never chatter.

Weight - 1.9kg

Size: 188mm x 63mm with a 53mm cutter.

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, the rear handle has a repair in rosewood to the horn and the front bun. It will require sharpening prior to use. It’s a lovely dovetailed smoothing plane from one of the best makers.
