Vintage tools -  Cleaver D1217

Up for sale is a gorgeous antique FRENCH  CLEAVER that looks to be hand forged.

A heavy sculptural blade, 100mm wide x 215mm 350mm overall, clinched rat tail tang construction, with an ornately turned patinated fruitwood handle & brass ferrule.

Weight -   600gm

CONDITION

This cleaver is in authentic vintage condition, wear & tear consistent with age & use, will require a sharpen prior to use. A large age check in the original handle & some pitting to the blade, an authentic condition early French cleaver that is a superb piece.
