Vintage tools - mallet T9640:

Up for sale is a vintage Heavy Timber LEAD DRESSING Stick/ MALLET. 
Used for beating lead sheet into shapes for flashings around chimneys & pipes. 

It's made out of a heavy & dense timber- probably a variety of Lignum Vitae, a slow growing dense timber that is ideally suited for lead dressing sticks, virtually impossible to source these days, most new ones are plastic.

CONDITION
This Lead Dressing Stick is in authentic vintage condition, wear & tear consistent with age, some heavy patina & wear, still very usable, nice to have a timber one, it feels nice & weighty in the hand.
