Vintage tools - mallet T8441:

Up for sale is a vintage Boxwood LEAD DRESSING Stick/ MALLET, a sharpish angled sole for making creases & folds. 
Used for beating lead sheet into shapes for flashings around chimneys & pipes. 

It's made from boxwood, a slow growing dense timber that is ideally suited for lead dressing sticks, virtually impossible to source these days, most new ones are plastic.

CONDITION
This Lead Dressing Stick is in authentic vintage condition, wear & tear consistent with age and use, some heavy wear & scars, still very usable, nice to have a timber one, it feels nice & weighty in the hand.
