Up for sale is an early & unusual antique FRENCH PATTERN MINERS AXE.
The blade is 90mm wide & measures 210mm long overall, Its a two piece head laminated & welded construction.
Weight - 955gm
CONDITION
This axe is in authentic antique condition, a dark patina & some pitting as to be expected with an antique miners tool, stamped 228 & DP that may relate to the particular mine that the axe was used in. This axe was part of the Longfils tool collection & purchased in France in 2019.
