Vintage tools -  plane Y1622

Up for sale is a gorgeous & unusual antique FRENCH smoothing PLANE that has some age to it, made out of heavy FRENCH OAK. Unusually it has an early looking Cast Steel blade by English maker BURYS & Co.

A beautiful rich & warm patina to the wood, a great DISPLAY piece.

Size: 220mm long x 60mm wide & cuts 47mm approximately 

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, a few shrinkage checks to the end grain & escapement, the blade will require sharpening, it's a lovely piece & part of the Yves Longfils collection that we bought back from France in 2019.
