Vintage tools -  plane Y2439

Up for sale is a gorgeous & unusual antique FRENCH WASHBOARD PLANE that has some age to it.

It looks to be made out of Cormier wood. Used to cut angled notches in a wooden washboard to rub ones wet linen against.

A beautiful rich & warm patina to the wood, a great DISPLAY piece.

Weight - 500g

Size: 255mm long x 75mm wide & cuts a 13mm 45° angled cut approximately 

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, some scratches & dents to the body & checks to the end grain & about 5 old worm holes. Quite a hard to find plane. It's a lovely piece & part of the Yves Longfils collection that we bought back from France in 2019.
