SOLD Antique genuine STANLEY No:12 & 3/4 scraper PLANE T1621

Vintage tools -  plane T1621 

Up for sale is a rare & genuine STANLEY No:12 & 3/4 SCRAPER PLANE, with a two part 3/4" ROSEWOOD SOLE & HANDLE.
Confusingly the 12 & 3/4 planes were never stamped 12 & 3/4 only 12 & 1/2! The difference between the two models is the THICKNESS  of the rosewood soles & the 12 & 3/4 has a two part sole. Note that the soles on this plane have the correct factory threaded brass bush inserts with the factory fitted locking pin- its an AUTHENTIC STANLEY 12 & 3/4 SCRAPER PLANE, its also a Sweetheart era plane 1920s-30s & these were only produced from 1928-43.

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, some japanning loss, the rosewood is a superb colour, some scratches to the rosewood soles, amazingly it has its original SWEETHEART era blade as well, it’s a lovely rare plane for the serious Stanley collector.
