Vintage tools -  infill plane T639 

Up for sale is a scarce antique DOVETAILED INFILL No:843 "IMPROVED HANDLED SMOOTHING PLANE" with a gorgeous  ROSEWOOD INFILL & curved sides by ALEXANDER MATHIESON of GLASGOW.

Weight -   1.9kg

Size: 7 & 1/4" x 2.5"  or 186mm x 63mm with a 2 & 1/8" cutter or 54mm.

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, some rust marks & patches of light pitting, the mouth is nice & tight, a previous owners marks on the body, amazingly the plane looks to retain most of its original finish to the wood, it’s a lovely plane for the workshop & a handy size.
