Vintage tools - T9122

Up for sale is a fancy antique architects & engineers travelling DRAFTING SET of 1 x pair of dividers, 1 x compass with a lining nib, 1 x compass with a lead / graphite tip. Often the knurled handles on this style are fashioned from electrum.

It’s in original leather bound box, lined with blue silk & velvet.

There is also an original handwritten 1830 envelope.

Made in a time when tools were prized for their beauty  as their functionality, its a high quality drawing set, ready for to go to work for its new owner.

Size: 65mm long tools & the box is 82mm x 60mm

CONDITION

This drafting set is in authentic antique condition, wear & tear consistent with age & use, some wear to the leather cover & silk lining as one would expect with such an old set, light storage rust & oxidisation. Envelope has some age stains, seal is broken & one fold has worn through. A beautiful & elegant way to draw.
