Up for sale is a rustic & unusual antique FRENCH usermade smoothing PLANE that has a lot of character to it.

It looks to be made out of French oak & has a unique escapement. User made out of a piece of scrap timber.

A beautiful rich & warm patina to the wood, a great DISPLAY piece.

Weight - 700g

Size: 220mm long x 62mm wide & cuts 42mm approximately 

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & heavy use, its an incredibly rustic piece & exhibits checks, dents, chips & heavy wear, it's a lovely piece & part of the Yves Longfils collection that we bought back from France in 2019.
