A genuine & scarce matching numbers antique Alex. MATHIESON from Glasgow 13 1/2 “ infill PANEL PLANE with a gorgeous Rosewood infill.

Made for Mathieson by Thomas Norris.

It’s one of the nicer planes to have in your workshop, these are the Rolls Royce of planes & a pleasure to use.

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age and use. Some fine scattered pinprick pitting from storage, a full parallel cutter & a nice TIGHT mouth, minor chips to the rosewood. Dovetailed steel construction & the rosewood has the best colour that I’ve ever seen.
