Vintage tools -  plane Y187

Up for sale is a gorgeous & unusual antique FRENCH smoothing PLANE that has some age to it. It looks to have been made out of CORMIER WOOD, a fine grained dense fruitwood.
There is a deep branded mark to the top of the plane that has an early look about it. This plane has a rich and warm patina of age about it and one can still see a set out line scribed into one side.

A beautiful rich & warm patina to the wood, a great DISPLAY piece.

Size: 260mm long x 62mm wide & with a 50mm cutter 

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, a few scratches, chips & wear. The front horn had a piece broken off many years ago. It's a lovely piece & part of the Yves Longfils collection that we bought back from France in 2019.
