Vintage tools -  sharpening stone A335

Up for sale is an antique natural sharpening stone a PIKES No:1 quality WASHITA STONE -  a natural stone from ARKANSAS, USA.

Stated on the original trade label: “No:1 quality WASHITA OILSTONE. Cut from natural rock and used the world over for CARPENTERS and general WOODWORKING, gives a medium fine edge.”

These are an amazingly good all round stone for woodworkers. These are old stock stones & much thicker than what is offered today.

This stone is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, the original trade label & a user made wooden box, essential for keeping an edge on your tools in your workshop.
