Vintage tools -  sharpening stone A337

Up for sale is an antique natural sharpening stone a No:1 WASHITA STONE -  a natural stone from ARKANSAS, USA.

Stated on its original trade label: “No:1 Quality WASHITA OILSTONE. Cut from natural rock and used the world over for CARPENTERS and general WOODWORKING use. Gives a medium fine edge.”

These are an amazingly good all round stone for woodworkers. These are old stock stones & much thicker than what is offered today.

CONDITION

This stone is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, the original trade label. A large shallow chip off the corner. We haven’t taken the stone out of the wooden base. Essential for keeping an edge on your tools in your workshop.
