Vintage tools - plane N1284
Up for sale is a collector grade Australian made CARTER No:4 smoothing plane in its original box.
We can state with some certainty that this plane has NEVER BEEN USED. The iron still has the factory grind marks on the bevel plus some original factory storage grease over the bevel also, plus there is some of the blue bed paint stuck to the back of the blade. It is squeaky clean.
Only produced for 10 years - 1945-1955 in Parramatta, NSW. They are a cool piece of history of the Australian post WW2 manufacturing boom times.

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, this plane is in fine near mint unused condition, the original rear handle has its complete trade label & the original box has a full label & is in good shape, one for the Australian plane collector.
