Vintage tools -  plane Y1826

Up for sale is a gorgeous & unusual antique FRENCH COMPLEX MOULDING PLANE that has some age to it. It looks to be made out of Cormier wood & is an unusual complex cupids bow style profile. French moulding planes are used without “spring” & held in the standard vertical position .

A beautiful rich & warm patina to the wood, a great DISPLAY piece.

Size: 218mm long x 5mm wide & cuts 30mm approximately 

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, some dents & wear & & some nails to the edges of the sole. A very unusual profile. It's a lovely piece & part of the Yves Longfils collection that we bought back from France in 2019.
