Vintage tools - hammer Y881

Up for sale is a rare antique FRENCH DENGLE STOCK & HAMMER for beating out the edge of a scythe blade prior to the final sharpening with a scythe stone.

It’s a very old piece & has some very unusual stamps on the back of the denglestock- an anchor, scythe & club.

The hammer is 640g & the head is 120mm x 25mm square face, handle extends 140mm

Weight -  1.7kg

CONDITION

This dengle stock & hammer are in authentic antique condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, the dengle stock has some mushrooming- as to be expected with a seriously old tool, this denglestock & hammer are part of the Longfils collection that we purchased in France in 2019.
