Vintage tools -  infill plane N625

Up for sale is a unique antique CAST IRON INFILL plane with gorgeous FIGURED WALNUT INFILLS. It’s a lovely old plane that is craftsman made & has a lot of patina and character.

This old battler carries some war wounds, a large chip off the casting on the LH side in the top escapement, the rear RH corner has been chipped & also a tight crack in the side casting by the same.

Weight -   2.2kg

Size: 345mm x 72mm with a 56mm cutter.

CONDITION

This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, some large chips missing from the casting & a tight crack in the tail, some casting pits to the sole that were filled by the maker. A gorgeous old plane with plenty of charm and character & a warmly figured walnut infill.
