Vintage tools - mallet H2453:

Up for sale is a vintage Boxwood LEAD DRESSING Stick/ MALLET with a fantastic colour to the wood, made by venerable plumbing tool maker MONUMENT London. 
Used for beating lead sheet into shapes for flashings around chimneys & pipes. 

It's made out of a heavy & dense timber- Boxwood, a slow growing dense timber that is ideally suited for lead dressing sticks, virtually impossible to source these days, most new ones are plastic.

CONDITION
This Lead Dressing Stick is in authentic vintage condition, wear & tear consistent with age & use, still very usable, nice to have a timber one, it feels nice & weighty in the hand.
