Vintage tools -  axe Y1707

Up for sale is an early & unusual antique FRENCH FORREST OF RETZ PATTERN AXE.

This looks to be a fairly early piece & was the only one in this pattern out of the 3000 tools in the collection.

The blade is 100mm wide & measures 265mm long overall, it's an impressive piece. 

Weight -   1.85kg

CONDITION

This axe is in authentic antique condition, a dark patina & some pitting as to be expected with a possible 18th century tool. This axe was part of the Longfils tool collection & purchased in France in 2019.
