Up for sale is an antique natural sharpening stone a NORTON HARD BLACK ARKANSAS. 

These are a superb finishing stone for your tools & knives, these black stones were highly prized in days of yore & were often called SURGICAL BLACK ARKANSAS stones as Doctors & Dentists would sharpen their instruments on the black stones, they were always rated as harder & finer. 

These are old stock stones & much denser & finer than what is offered today. 

Size - 151mm x 48mm x 20mm.

Weight - 500gm

CONDITION

This stone is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age, in its original Norton wooden box, it looks to be hardly used.
