Vintage tools -  sharpening stone A324

Up for sale is an antique natural sharpening stone a PIKES No:1 grade WASHITA STONE -  a natural stone from ARKANSAS, USA.

The original trade label states: “No:1 quality WASHITA OILSTONE, cut from natural rock and used the world over for CARPENTERS and WOODWORKERS TOOLS, gives a medium fine edge. Use thin non drying oil PIKES STONOIL is best.”

These are an amazingly good all round stone for woodworkers. These are old stock stones & much thicker than what is offered today.

CONDITION

This stone is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, some minor flea bite chips to the edges & an original trade label, essential for keeping an edge on your tools in your workshop.
