Vintage tools - infill plane T648
Up for sale is a showy antique INFILL SHOULDER PLANE, with an EBONY INFILL & a BRONZE BODY & STEEL SOLE.
This one nearly looks too good to be user made - the flowing & shapely lines are proportionally gorgeous, but there are no makers marks, its a heavy plane & is nearly double the weight of mahogany & cast iron shoulder plane of the same size.

CONDITION
This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, the wedge needs adjustment- either a small packer at the top or bottom, some patches of pitting to the sole, the hollow section of the casting under the blade is lead filled for extra mass, it’s a lovely plane for the workshop.
