Antique French tools - adze Y236
Up for sale is an unusual antique FRENCH ADZE of unusual construction, similar to a stirrup adze but with a bolt & wedge.
There is a makers stamp on the back but my eyes can't decipher it.
Size - The blade is 102mm wide & measures 350mm long, its an impressive piece.
Weight - 2kg
CONDITION
This adze is in authentic antique condition, the blade is sharp, the handle is loose & has been repaired a long time ago, if one was intending to use this tool you would need to re handle it, however it makes for a great collectors piece just as is. This adze was part of the Longfils tool collection & purchased in France in 2019.
