SOLD D1241 Vintage 8” SIGHT THROUGH BODY Surveyors LEVEL BRASS BOUND with Walnut

Vintage tools -  level D1241

Up for sale is a scarce 8” wooden Sight through brass bound base SURVEYORS LEVEL with what looks to be figured walnut. Mr J.Calderbank had his name hand engraved above the level vial.

Size -  220mm long x 24mm wide x 42mm deep.

Weight: 340gm

NOTE: WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF VINTAGE LEVELS.

CONDITION

This level is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, some minor dents & scratches & wear to the base & to the brass. One end cap on the plumb vial is absent, however the glass sight through window still has the crosshairs intact. An unusual & hard to find level.
