Vintage tools - infill plane H1114
Up for sale is an antique No:2 DOVETAILED steel INFILL plane with a ROSEWOOD INFILL by THOMAS NORRIS of LONDON.
This ones rear handle has been repaired in a couple places & is a serviceable repair, however it could do with a proper restoration.
These really are the luxury yacht of the planing world, with an extra thick laminated steel cutter & the finest mouth, plus with the steel cutter bedded against the rosewood infill, they never chatter.

Size: 225mm x 62mm with a 57mm cutter.
CONDITION
This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use, a user fitted leather strike pad to the front bun many moons ago. The rear handle has a repair & is serviceable, some wear to the rear infill. A nice thick MARPLES cutter. It’s a lovely plane for the workshop & it would present beautifully with a sensitive restoration.
