Up for sale is a vintage STANLEY No:4 & 1/2 smoothing plane, this one is proudly made in ENGLAND with a 60mm cutter. Wider than a number 4 plane, these make smoothing off surfaces even quicker.
Weight - 2.05kg
CONDITION
This plane is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age & use. Some finish loss & a rosewood front knob with a repair & beech rear handle & early blank levercap. A previous owners name punched into the RH side & smoothed out chip to the rear LH base casting. A sharpen & you will be pulling shavings. Plenty of life left in the old thing.
