Vintage tools - axe H1969
Up for sale is an iconic vintage Australian KEESTEEL washboard pattern hatchet head.
Keesteel were unusual because they made high quality axes including competition racing axes that were sand cast, not forged. Keesteel learned the dark art of high quality metal casting from the US military who were stationed in Ballarat during WW2. Imagine that, sand cast axe heads that were easily as good as drop forged. An iconic & rather special Australian maker.

CONDITION
This axe head is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age and use, some scattered pitting. Hard to find & near full bit Keesteel hatchet head.
