Vintage tools - mallet H2440:
Up for sale is a vintage HORNBEAM LEAD DRESSING Stick/ MALLET with a fantastic colour to the wood, by EMIR of London, a venerable tool maker.
Used for beating lead sheet into shapes for flashings around chimneys & pipes.
It's made out of a heavy & dense timber- Hornbeam, a slow growing dense timber that is ideally suited for lead dressing sticks, most new ones are plastic.

CONDITION
This Lead Dressing Stick is in authentic vintage condition, wear & tear consistent with age & use, still very usable, nice to have a timber one, it feels nice & weighty in the hand.
